Pulsed light is a different sensation to regular red light and can take some adjusting to. Here are our top tips to help you get accustomed to pulsed light
- Always wear your goggles with pulsed light to lessen the strobe effect and for your comfort.
- Ensure that the room is well lit – this lessens the intensity of the light relative to your surroundings.
- Turn your head at a slight angle [20-30 degrees] to left/right so that the light is directed away from the retina – then switch to the other direction mid-treatment.
- Start with just one minute of pulsed light added onto the end of your regular red light treatment, then gradually reduce your treatment time with regular red light and increase your treatment time with pulsed light, until you have achieved the recommended protocol detailed in #1
- If you find the light too bright, reduce the intensity of the light with the ambient button [button 4] until you adjust.
